I am a successful strategic senior leader with extensive operational delivery expertise, currently leading partnerships across the statutory and Community, Voluntary and Social Enterprise (CVSE) sectors to deliver solutions that combat complex issues affecting public safety, public health, and the economic vibrancy of communities. In my current role I work to the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime in West Yorkshire, and ultimately to the Mayor, in their function as the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the county. My portfolio includes the following policy areas (amongst others);Victims, Criminal Justice, Mental Health (where it intersects with Criminal Justice and Policing), ASB and Civil Contingencies.I support the Mayor in scrutinising the work of West Yorkshire Police and supporting policing and partners to work together;- Delivering commissioned and voluntary services that support victims and protect the vulnerable in the criminal justice process.- Supporting the Deputy Mayor in her role as chair of the Local Criminal Justice Board.- I chair a number of West Yorkshire Boards and Forums such as the WY Reducing Re-offending and Rehabilitation Partnership Board, The Child Custody Scrutiny Board, and the strategic partnership between mental health services and policing around Right Care Right Person.I successfully delivered a change management process with a small team to improve the work of both the Yorkshire and the Humber Rehabilitation Partnership Board and the West Yorkshire LCJB, and provide for a more data led, targeted, results driven approach to the work. Prior to this role, I was senior leader with West Yorkshire Police.
