I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004, gaining the fellowship status in 2009. I have always worked with smaller businesses, which is one of the reasons I created Ivybridge Accountants Ltd in 2015. For 7 years I worked very hard serving the local community (and many clients further a field), which was enormously satisfying, however every chapter has an ending and 2022 saw me stepping away with some reluctance due to changes in my personal life.I embarked on a new path, one I've always had in the back of my mind as I have enjoyed mentoring others over the years. Time to give back and help the next generation of eager accountants along their way.... it's a tutor's life for me.Now in 2024, I realise where my true passion lies, helping people. I've spent the last two years helping young students not only pass there exams, but be better at what they do in the real world. This made me realise I actually missed the "real world". The connection I had built up with clients who I'd called friends as much as clients was very important to me, so I'm back in practice, bring on the tax returns!
