igfest is an international festival of street games, pervasive games, transmedia games, and play based experiences

When IGLAB started in 2008 it was the world's first pervasive games lab. It was set up to help popularise the nascent form of street and pervasive games. It also acts as a bridge for artists and designers to experiment with games as a form. IGLAB started life in the pervasive media studio but has been held in many other locations since. The lab was a monthly event between 2008 an 2010 and then a semi regular event until 2014. At this point IGLAB is more of a format than a recurring event. That said, since 2021 I have been running IGLAB events in Berlin

i was one of the first residents at the PM Studio. During the 2 years i spent there i was engaged in a variety of research projects around the use of pervasive media technologies in the emerging feild of pervasive games.
