Simon is a co-founder of The Voxel Agents and leads as the Creative Director.He began making Flash games for an alternate reality world at university. In 2006 he managed to talk his way into a job at Halfbrick as a Game Designer without really having a clue what the role involved. While working on Gameboy, PSP and DS titles at Halfbrick he learnt invaluable lessons about pacing, flow, and how to iterate and polish in a tight budget. After winning the 48 Hour Game Making Competition with the local co-op game ‘Melonauts’ he branched out with teammates and friends Matt Clark and Tom Killen to create The Voxel Agents.The Voxel Agents was established in 2009 to create delightful games that unravel in surprising ways. Since day one they have been laser focused on creating innovative original IP, inventing new game mechanics, and delivering extremely polished experiences unlike anything else. The Voxel Agents first made their mark in 2009 with the award-winning 'Train Conductor' on iPhone, amassing more than three million downloads in the first year. They cemented their position with ‘Puzzle Retreat’ in 2013, “a brilliant zen-like puzzler” according to AppSpy. They then successfully navigated the transition of their major franchise Train Conductor to the free-to-play model in 2016 to great success, which still has a very active player base to this day. They most recently launched The Gardens Between, an Apple Design Award winning puzzle adventure game that The Guardian heralded as a 'masterwork'. The Gardens Between has since been ported to every desktop, console and mobile platform.
