Established A3C UK Ltd after over 30 years within the HSEQ environment to provide business support consultancy services. Currently assisting the public sector in safety improvement and providing where required on tap resource. Recently completed a contract to NATS providing client confidence in both equipment and project quality assurance on Project Marshall.Previously (Nov 17 - Feb 18) contracted to Doosan Babcock to produce and implement bespoke human performance and error prevention training package for major projects at Sellafield bringing the ‘one team zero concessions’ initiative for safety and quality together. Key Achievements:• Successfully designed, wrote and trained ~ 20 office/management staff and 90 nuclear construction project employees in human factors and error prevention techniques, realising 17 days of project opportunity., zero concessions and zero safety stoppages.

Hired as Safety Director to increase the effectiveness of the existing safety management system reporting to the CEO and Board Chair. I was responsible for influencing the safety and security performance of the business thought direct strategy, budget and policy setting. I produced management reports for the CEO and Board to illustrate trends and areas for improvement and ensured all aspects of health and safety data were compliant with the general data protection regulation (GDPR).Key Achievements:• Managed health and safety audits and inspections at all sites to ensure the company was compliant with legislation and best practice.• Introduced an integrated SMS and risk management framework for maritime, shore and logistic operations for a digital platform across all business disciplines.• Introduced engineering and system based controls leading to a cultural change programme to improve performance and safety.• Successfully implemented safety legislative solutions to reduce accident severity and frequency performance reducing major incident frequency by 40% and the severity from 3 to 1. Promoted to Principle HSE Lead and Project HSEQ Lead to address client confidence in a £240M joint venture project with Balfour Beatty for Sellafield Ltd. Responsible for the production of project based, CDM compliance, training competence, resource profiling and the management of site HSE issues. Key Achievements:• Drove HSE management and initiatives on the Sellafield nuclear waste storage plant project providing team integration with the client and ensured corporate strategic initiatives were met.• Evaluated company management systems with consideration for integration with client based systems to meet ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.• Created standardised templates for Doosan construction phase plans and compliance audits. • Managed compliance audits and results, monthly returns detailing site performance, accident statistics and training progress of Doosan and client personnel.• Delivered a Carbon Capture System installation at Aberthaw Power Station (do you have any additional notes around what you did and what benefits were delivered?)• Successfully turned around and restored client confidence by addressing HSE performance issues on a Nuclear waste storage facility project. Merged independent company systems to create a bespoke management system achieving 1 800 000 LTA free manhours.• Liaised with the Quality manager and team to successfully deliver a joint application for innovative weld inspection routines by moving to digital imagery. Gained acceptance from the Office of Nuclear Regulators, Sellafield Ltd and 3rd party inspectors. • Reduced weld inspection and approval times by 40% and realised significant project opportunities

Hired as HSE lead for the Southern Branch to implement Doosan QHSE operating procedures across 13 south west sites consisting of nuclear/thermal power stations, oil refineries and pharmaceutical companies. Reported to the Branch Construction Manager & Principal HSE Leader, led a team of 4 Site Safety Officers. Key Achievements:• Ensured compliance of all operations and services across thermal / nuclear power stations and oil refineries through leadership, support and auditing of site safety teams.• Provided continuous support to new site set up, generating tangible evidence of site readiness through gated process evaluations.• Reviewed and improved company management systems to ensure ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification was retained.• Produced and presented safety training courses across all levels of the workforce.

Appointed to the Mine Counter Measures Training Platform as Platform Manager to ensure delivery of training to Commodore Naval Drafting requirements. Responsible for the development and appraisal of all uniform staff and platform administrator’s, equipment performance management, upgrade/change programmes and delivery of 34 instructional courses annually. Key achievements:• Trained up to 110 personnel weekly, significantly improving health and safety standards and awareness throughout the Royal Navy.• Provided professional training and assessment to enable Risk Assessors and Manual Handling Instructors to achieve IOSH accreditation.
