    Working with MOD Estates throughout the Salisbury Plain area with 2000+ buildings to establish asset trends and lifecycle modelling and analysis. To achieve this, Simon is assisting in developing the survey and modelling software which is interrogated to provide insight into categories such as electrical, heating or water system so that the FM contractors can focus their resources and finances. Simon then produces the reporting structures using Power BI and the Power App Suite to provide meaningful feedback to the lifecycle and maintenance teams, where possible, in valuable and meaningful dashboards to allow them to access insight into future projects and spending.The same software and model are used to predict the life of high-value assets for upwards of 20 years throughout the MOD estate. Using data collected since 2017, which has been collected in various formats since the beginning of the project.This work is undertaken on various properties, including everything from SLA accommodation to POL points and military transport garages.The ultimate aim of this position is to use Big Data to help predict future lifecycle replacements of assets over the next 20 years to allow forecasting of work, projects and finances.

Simon was responsible for checking the certification after work was completed by specialist contractors. During the course of this post Simon also became the Legionella Appointed Responsible Person for the contract. This included at least two sites with water cooling towers which required significant monitoring and meticulous record keeping.

An important part of this role included maintaining the server rooms and infrastructure relating to the Congestion Charge in London, ensuring that the system was running 24 hours a day. This included making special arrangements to ensure the system could be left operational during periodic inspection and testing. Simon dealt with a challenging contract where the client had high expectations concerning the delivery of the contract. During this contract Simon turned around a failing site with the poorest performance on the contract, to become the highest performing contract within 10 weeks and improved the site’s ability to achieve successful levels with the contract’s Key Performance Indicators.

I receive and organize the inflow of work from Defence Estates and ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard and on time. The role includes similar management of a remote site AOSB Leighton House, (Westbury), requiring an awareness of required actions at a distance.In addition I am responsible for the Health and Safety of all of the operatives and that of contractors. I regularly meet with the clients – Defence Estates - to ensure they continue to be happy with the service received and to resolve any problems or outstanding issues.Key Achievements:• Increasing the cooperation between the client and Debut by keeping the client informed of progress throughout the span of the job with regular updates.• Reduced on-going cost for client and labour costs for Debut through environmental and sustainable solutions.• Increased skills and knowledge around the management of personnel.
