Hi! I am an Assistant Project Ecologist with SWCA Environmental Consultants based in the Raleigh, NC area with experience leading wetland/waterway delineations, threatened and endangered species work, and environmental permitting. I've worked with clients ranging from natural gas pipelines to solar and mining. I also have a strong background in herpetology (amphibians/reptiles) including species-specific surveys, radiotelemetry, and habitat assessments. I enjoy working with clients to assist them in protecting our natural resources while also meeting their project goals.Prior to my professional career, I was lucky to spend a lot of time working with reptiles and amphibians. These experiences included snorkeling for hellbenders, studying spotted salamander egg mass polymorphism, surveying for salamanders in Nantahala National Forest, tracking bog turtles in NC and gopher tortoises in FL, and studying female gopher tortoise nest-site selection. Some fun facts:- I enjoy spending time outside looking for reptiles and amphibians. - Surprising to many, I am a huge fan of heavy metal music. - I've watched the Lord of the Ring series twice in one day.
