I am an Assistant Project Ecologist with SWCA Environmental Consultants based in the Raleigh, NC area with experience leading wetland/waterway delineations, threatened and endangered species work, and environmental permitting. I've worked with clients ranging from natural gas pipelines to solar and mining. I also have a strong background in herpetology (amphibians/reptiles) including species-specific surveys, radiotelemetry, and habitat assessments. I enjoy working with clients to assist them in protecting our natural resources while also meeting their project goals.

Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area

For four years, I was an Ecologist and Natural Resource Scientist for TRC Companies, Inc. in the Raleigh, NC area. I primarily conducted wetland and waterway delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments, Limited NEPA assessments, and Critical Issue Analyses for projects throughout the eastern US and Midwest. Additionally, I helped lead Section 404/401 permitting and post-construction monitoring on solar and natural gas pipeline projects.

Venus, Florida

My primary duties as an intern at Archbold Biological Station included radio-telemetry tracking and demographic monitoring of Gopher Tortoises, surveys for Gopher Tortoises, hydrologic monitoring of Station wetlands and groundwater wells, wetland surveys for fish, amphibians, and macro-invertebrates, and assisting with prescribed burns. Additionally, utilizing radio-telemetry data and ArcGIS, I conducted a study investigating how factors such as social interactions and nearest-neighbor distances influence nest-site selection in Gopher Tortoises.
