Development of a high-resolution viral release assay.

Developed a high-speed MEMS-based adaptive optics system and user interface for a multiphoton fluorescence microscope built for imaging deep in turbid media with sub-micron resolution. The AO microscope allows imaging of samples with minimal preparation, giving more physiologically relevant measurements. I was responsible for prototyping, testing, and performance analysis of MagneticallyEnhanced Vacuum Arc Thrusters (MVAT). These MVAT plasma thrusters are designed for micro and nano satellites to execute orbital maneuvers and for attitude control. The propulsion system is intended to provide nano and micro satellites with a means to boost their orbits by several kilometers, potentially extending their lifetime by up to 10 years.

Built and analyzed an optical cross-correlator to measure the timing jitter in a laser system.

Running threshold scans on an integrated circuit used in the ATLAS detectors in the LHC.

Synthesized batches of arsenic tainted ground water to use in the development of a low cost water filtration prototype called ECAR (ElectroChemical Arsenic Remediation). Analyzed the filtered water using an ICP mass spectrometer. ECAR is now used in rural areas in Bangladesh to help provide people with access to clean drinking water.
