Senior Accommodation Manager
• I Established a Homeless Project which ensured that a 45-bedroom accommodation was ready for service users to move into over a period of two months. • I provided line management, empowerment, and leadership to a team of four project workers which delivered a service to the residents.• Daily I communicated with senior management and to my staff, to whom I offered support and guidance • I ensured that there was a robust system for the monitoring the collection of rent and that there was a seamless process which resulted in housing benefit being paid within a tight timeframe.• I coordinated the collection of all personal charges in accordance with the relevant policy and procedure for cash handling whilst liaising with finance teams where debt had accrued• Took responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of staff, residents, and visitors. and ensure there were safe working practices and when necessary staff were able to work alone in a safe environment. • I liaised with local mental health , and substance misuse services in order that the residents could receive the appropriate support, When a resident fell into crises I was able to access the immediate support from the statutory service this resulted in the resident being admitted into hospital. Then once their health improved, they were able to return to the project
Operations Support Manager
• Prepared WDP Havering Drug and Alcohol service for a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. Managed specific tasks and coordinated the various sections of the service such as Health and Safety, ensuring they were completed to a 100 % compliance with CQC requirement.• Led the Barnet WDP improvement plan which identified 80 gaps in the service, managing cross functional teams to ensure the service was brought up to a high standard of service delivery, ready for inspection by the CQC.• For the period 2012 to 2020 WDP had leased a property from a Private Landlord Over this time WDP rented the property out to over a hundred different service users. In August 2020 WDP took the decision for business reasons to hand the property back to the Landlord. It was my role to ensure that the property was vacated of tenants, and that the property was emptied of all furniture, as well as seeing all the utilities were in a fit state to be handed over. In November 2020, the building was handed back, and I received compliments from both the Landlord and the CEO of WDP for all the work I had undertaken regarding this task.• I ensured that all these three projects were delivered on time and that there was a positive outcome for all of them. • I carried a small case load of complex service user living in Private Rented Accommodation in Dacorum, for which Liaised with children services, housing department and the probation services
Service Manager Supporting Herts (Specialist Housing Service ) And Living Stable Lives
• Supporting Herts -I was responsible for a floating support scheme for 150 service users per years , 5 recovery House and fifteen private rented properties . All the service users had a history of substance misuse , or currently were required supported around drugs or alcohol misuse .• I led a team of eight front line workers and two team leaders . I conducted monthly supervision , yearly appraisals . In addition was available on a daily basis for support and advice• I procured new properties for the Rent Deposit scheme and liaised to with Landlords to resolved any issues that existed with the tenants on the scheme .• I ensured that monthly Health and Safety checks were carried out at all the Recovery Houses and the private rented properties .• I ensured that all staff completed the mandatory training such as Health and Safety , Safeguarding , Substance Misuse etc .• I establish strong working relationship will all multi-agencies throughout the county• I prepared quarterly workbooks for meeting with commissioners• Communicated with Commissioners and worked towards meeting their requests• I ensured the safety of all staff and service users by implementing risk assessment and support plans procedures .• Living Stable Lives .(2016-19 ) . I set up with a new scheme for people living in private rented in the borough of Dacorum . organized presentations , and good liaison with all the relevant agencies .
