My biggest asset has been an unbreakable passion to learn. This has developed into a dedication to work hard, noticed by almost everyone I know. From reading historical wikipedia and news articles on the bus to hours of studying important skills for finance like excel accounting and financial modeling in my free time, my passion to learn has become prominent throughout my daily life. For a long time I wasn't sure which career path I wanted to take. Accounting? Entrepreneurship? Marketing? The choice felt so daunting. However, a couple months into first year at university I began attending my school's finance club weekly meetings which they would teach out a variety of topics such as takeovers and leveraged buyouts. I soon realized this stuck out to me more than anything else. This then led to me completing the Canadian Securities Course to further my knowledge and after this more to take on the learning of the industry and key skills to catch up to those who had realized a passion for finance before I had. On top of my current club involvement and past work experience I now look for new challenging ways to implement and further my learning and skills. As I begin my second year at Laurier I get ready to relentlessly pursue my goal of developing the skills for a successful career in finance.
