Recruited and trained a team to deliver the company’s solutions to local clients. Philippines & Korea

As an independent project consultant, led setting-up and initial operation of Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) program and English Language Program (ELP) of ACT, Inc. (https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/act-international-programs.html)The client, SME, was the education service provider in the Philippines, catering to the customers in North Asia and SE Asia. Successfully launched the center, recruited students, and operated the program for two years before turning over to the client.

Korea

StepEdu is a tertiary education solutions provider in Korea. The Company is also a service provider of ACT Inc, and was offering the GAC program in collaboration with Hanyang University.As the senior director of the company, the achievements include• Developed and implemented 5-year strategic business plans with P&L emphasis. The revenue grew 148% in the first 12 months, 283% in the following 12 months, and 67% for the third year, making the accumulated growth of 1,011% during the first three years. • Designed the GAC curriculum to accommodate the local conditions.• Quality-controlled the operation of the programs to ensure the purposes are properly met• Managed and mentored 14 full time staff and 20 part-time instructors.• Managed university relations• Developed and supervised college admission counseling strategy • Designed and implemented student recruitment strategies, including seminars, roadshows and marketing efforts.

Masonite Corporation was the world’s pioneer in manufacturing of wood fiber products and the world leader in the door and its systems. Reporting to the Asia Business Manager, was responsible for sales and marketing functions in Korea, SE Asia, Indian Subcontinent, and Australasia. Major achievements include• INDIA –Established a network of 27 local distributors, representing geographically strategic locations, and sales growth of 2,500% in 9 years, dominating 65% category share. Orchestrated market-specific marketing programs to increase the product and brand awareness. The Company’s brand became the most preferred brand, despite its premium price over the competition from China, SE Asia and Europe. Worked with a public technical institute and the local partners to list the Company’s product specifications in the Indian Standards in 2003. • NEW ZEALAND – Converted the largest local business from the competitor’s products, and increased the market penetration in the product category from 40% to 85%. To defend the category from the Australian competitions, created entry barrier by migrating the market to unique product lines that the competition cannot offer. • PHILIPPINES – Restructured disarrayed local business partner network, and successfully established an effective partner network. The Company’s products received the best quality recognitions by two consumer groups in the Philippines in 2006.• KOREA – Successfully re-launched the company’s products and brand. Implemented company’s brand rebuilding exercise by working with the industry publications (interviews and articles) and by introducing new category of products. • VIETNAM – Working with the Tradenz, identified and established the partner network. Conducted series of product presentations with local partners to specifiers and graduate students of leading universities. The Company brand emerged as the most preferred brand in the industry.
