As a new film company founded by women, we were very aware that it is easy to be pigeonholed in the female film market and wanted to steer clear of any pink and feminine designs in our branding. We explained to the BLD that we wanted the face of the company to reflect the work itself: high quality dramatic storytelling through film, working with fresh up and coming talent as well as masters of the film making craft. They designed us a logo we were really proud of. It exudes all of the qualities we were looking for and has already become an instantly recognisable part of our branding. During an e-marketing and telemarketing campaign to industry professionals, it was clear that the logo made our name was so memorable during follow up calls. We really were exceptionally pleased with our website www.illreputefilms.com. Simon and Adam produced an imaginative yet functional product which reflects all of our brand values. It has been a joy to work with the BLD. We thank them not only for the craft of their outstanding designs, but also for the care that went into understanding our company."

    My role at London Fire Designs was quite varied and a good learning experience. I was responsible for looking after web presence and magazine advertising of two separate subsidiary companies each with different aims. As well as building the websites from scratch, I maintained their search engine ranking ensuring they were at the top of specified search queries or as close to as possible. I created an intranet with a stock system, an invoice generator, directory of suppliers and customer which had additional features to plan UK wide sales campaigns. The intranet provided them with customer, dealer, stock, and general information database structures for their business. I also set up a network, created email accounts and numerous other IT tasks. Although I had also been doubling up as secretary, stock manager, and general assistant. I worked with the two directors as a close team; creating general structure and being involved in business decisions. Since leaving I have maintained a client based relationship with the directors that is current.

    I was initially taken on as Office Junior although my role evolved to include more substantial responsibilities. This was based around the advertising-media the company used, primarily the website. I would make daily updates as new properties came on the market. I was part of a small team who were to draw up the floor plans we had taken on site, with AutoCad and upload this along with the photographs and a detailed description onto the website as soon as possible, before sending out an email mailshot. While at Wooster and Stock, I also made a corporate in-store video loop, and was responsible for updating the property description flyers. My other duties included administrating the email filter and printing colour flyers on a professional Xerox printer.
