As Senior Delivery Manager and Innovation Specialist, I was responsible for leading innovation projects from inception to delivery. Working across the organisation I collaborated with business teams to identify opportunities and established briefs based on existing insight and desired deliverables. In collaboration with internal subject matter experts, external advisers and research agencies, I produced and commissioned quantitative and qualitative research that helped inform new strategies for specific audiences or products. Focusing on a test and learn approach, in line with start-up and agile methodologies, I developed initial concepts into fully-resourced delivery plans with detailed business cases, with a view to bringing in significant new revenue streams and increasing CRUKs volunteer resource. Where propositions did not currently fit within an area of the business but showed promise I developed business cases and presented these for Director-level sign-off and resourcing, or for continued development within the Innovation Team. At the end of each project I worked with stakeholders across the business to effectively handover delivery plans.

- Programme Manager in Enfield Council’s transformation team- Systems Thinking lead role, working across seven service areas and coordinating/facilitating 19 workshops with operational staff to highlight current issues and develop bottom-up solutions for validation by senior management- Coaching a team of Business Analysts in Systems Thinking methodology and leading on implementing behaviour driven design, bridging the gap between restructuring services and ICT requirements for continued provision- Responsible for the design and implementation of consolidated Finance and Exchequer functions across the organisation, delivering 40% savings across both areas by 31st December 2016 with a total saving of £2.43m- Supported tender of Procurement and Commissioning Hub co-management partnership and worked closely with colleagues in legal and procurement to ensure interim arrangements were maintained until the full tender was complete with anticipated savings of £18m over the next three years as a result.- Developed business cases working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and tightly defined the scope of work to avoid scope creep- Responsible for maintaining full programme management oversight and documentation of these two areas, defining the programme structure and governance and managing interdependencies, risks and issues as they arise in line with Enfield’s programme management principles, based on MSP techniques - Developed KPIs for the newly consolidated services and monitored initial service delivery against these to ensure a successful transition- Provided regular updates, both verbal and written reports, for senior management through Enfield’s Design Authority and Strategic Transformation Board- Experience working within a matrix management structure with current projects sitting across a number of levels and requiring reporting in both at specific divisional levels as well as at cross-departmental organisational change boards

- Responsible for managing the Council’s three Area Partnerships in regeneration priority areas within the borough- Further responsibility for leading on social regeneration, in these priority areas, responsible for delivering outcomes around crime, employment, health and community cohesion- Significant stakeholder engagement and management, working closely with statutory partners, VCS organisations, resident panels and senior management across the council- Redrafted the parameters of the partnerships to ensure that these local platforms would continue to play a key role in strategic decision making at a borough-wide level- Developed Strategic Delivery Plans for each priority area in order to provide SMART objectives for tangible outcomes

- Work undertaken in a number of different council departments over the course of 21 months on the programme- Data Manager and Analyst in a team of three tasked with fully costing and establishing the logistics, design and options for scheduled major remodelling work of Enfield Civic Centre, crucial in the successful delivery of the project, pushing for a more radical re-design at a reduced cost than had previously been expected- Undertook a comprehensive review of the council’s directly provided Adult Social Care services, reviewing a total of 21 separate services that run at a cost of around £15m per annum, over a four month period, providing recommendations going forward for each- Delivered an options paper on how the council could better deliver pension administration, resulting in a change in the way Enfield Council administers the Local Government Pension Scheme and a considerable saving- Implemented the government mandated consultation of changes to Council Tax Benefit and contributed towards the recommendations since adopted by the council - Worked extensively on the Council’s Employment and Skills Strategy, researching, writing and consulting on the document with key stakeholders. - Oversaw Enfield’s Welfare Reform Action Plan, ensuring all steps taken to mitigate the impact of Government Welfare Reforms on Enfield’s least well off residents were progressing appropriately- Designed Enfield’s replacement Social Fund scheme in conjunction with key stakeholders in the borough, ensuring that provision continued and improved after DWP funding ceased- Instrumental in the delivery of Excellent accreditation on the LGA Equality Framework for Local Government

- Small internet start-up that expanded to the UK after being founded in Australia- First UK consultant, engaging with service users directly to deal with queries- Promoted to Team Leader as more consultants were brought on board, taking on line management and quality control responsibilities- Acted as occasional and then interim UK Business Manager from April 2011, reporting directly into company board, managing a global workforce of around forty employees - Responsibility for meeting company targets, quality control, employee management, roster management, promotion of service and consulting on new regions for growth- Offered permanent position to expand the service into Ireland but opted to join the National Graduate Development Programme

- Responsibility for maintaining research areas and materials- Undertook regular media monitoring- Contributed to initial research on a government commissioned research paper on barriers transgender individuals face in gaining, and remaining in, employment

- Spent two months in Belmopan, Belize, working on key issues for the British High Commission as an intern- Developed a comprehensive crisis guide for dealing with earthquakes in Belize, for use of both the High Commission and expats living in the country- Refreshed the crisis management guide for hurricanes- Undertook a hazardous materials audit of the High Commission and the Clubhouse- Reviewed funding bids from community and voluntary sector organisations, applying to the High Commission- Worked closely with the Belmopan Police Force in developing a crime profile for the area for use of expats- Seconded at UNDP Belize to work on recruitment of a Conservation Project Manager- Seconded at Office of American States, working in the adjacency zone between Belize and Guatemala reviewing illegal settlements- Seconded to the Caribbean Climate Change Centre, assisting with the ‘Review of the Economics of Climate Change in the Caribbean’ project
