Eventually, we had tried replacing nearly everything that could affect a screen.Only, it wasn't any of those things. Of course, we couldn't give up, this was an MD of a large company and he needed a working PC. So we swapped the Hard Disk and loaded a new operating system. Still, the display was messing up. In the end, we replaced everything else. Power supply, Keyboard and Mouse. IT WORKED. YESSS! What was the problem? A £10 mouse.It is this creative IT mindset of never giving up and testing everything that I bring to your business. Millbrook Proving Ground
This was a monthly rolling contract that continued for over 6 years. I reported to HP who were responsible for the entire GM global support contract. My main responsibilities were for the Engineering Design Workstations at Millbrook & Coventry sites. There were 50 users in total for the 2 sites. At the Coventry studio, I was responsible for all software and hardware issues. At the Millbrook site, I was responsible for the hardware and all ad-hoc software, not part of the standard HP/GM build. During my time at GM, I oversaw several hardware refreshes, setup and configured servers with GM builds and assisted with many GM systems that were outside my remit. I was the only site engineer for the HP/GM contract.Skills used: Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 7, Local printer and Plotter setups, Cisco VPN & Limited support on Lotus Notes, Unigraphics NX5, Maya and Catia.
