I have worked in the media for two decades, producing more than 75 hours of award-winning programming in the process. I write, direct and can edit on FCP as well as operate. I am used to filming in sometimes difficult conditions internationally. I am now certified as a CAA Drone Pilot with a Night Flying Rating. It is illegal to retain a drone pilot commercially without this qualification which is designed to make you a professional and safe operator.I am available through the BBC Talent database, Sky TV Procurement and Option 1 Health and Safety’s Approved Suppliers. I was head of tv production for international media agency Jack Morton for seven years. My first book in 2011, The Accidental Wizard, was a personal account of my life journey running in parallel to other pursuits, through ten years of documentary-making in the post-apocalyptic world of every major tsunami and earthquake around the globe.With my second book, Gabriel’s Lyre, I've moved into thriller territory interwoven with controversial, dramatic themes. As well as our work as communications consultants I have recently completed the screenplay for Gabriel's Lyre (my sixth) and we are in the process of packaging the movie.I have been given access in my professional life working as a documentary-maker to all manner of unusual situations which I have drawn on in part for the book's narrative. My prodigious appetite for information and travel has given me a unique insight into global issues and the human condition.I travel extensively. I have visited California on more than twenty occasions and visited every State in the US at least once, some many more.
