Responsible for the companies Design Build contracts providing an “in house” design service as well as procuring and managing external Consultants. This includes both M&E services as the company utilises sub-contractors to offer a combined package. This role is critical to ensure the design meets the budget and requires an in depth understanding of the design and costs involved in the various packages. Many of the projects these are based on NEC procurement routes using option A & C. In addition Simon is full conversant with Revit and Magicad and this is the usual route used to deliver designsSimon also runs the Thermal Modelling software for the company which provides Part L and EPC documentation. As M&E Co-ordinator was responsible for ensuring that the design and installation of M&E services within the allocated sites complied with the aspirations of the Client, and delivered to specification, to the correct quality, within the programme. Carried out design reviews of all M&E design packages and managed M&E Consultants ensuring the design complies with the budget constraints.Chaired weekly meetings to manage the interface between the building and services installation teams. These meetings dealt with design, programme, commissioning through to handover.

Particular relevant experience includes Arup's H.Q. office in Cardiff Bay, where he Provided an on site M&E co-ordination role successfully managing the services installation of a highly integrated services solution for the main contractor. Organised and chaired regular site co-ordination meetings and managed the entire co-ordination process.
