I have been in the bus industry now for nearly five years, firstly as an operations Manager, and then as the General Manager at Merseylink. Since the sale of the business to Kinetic I have worked as the P&C Manager for Tasmania following a re-structure across the state, and more recently as the NW Operations Manager. I have really enjoyed the transition to public transport and spent much of this time learning about the business and looking for improvements. I am focused on continual improvement, customer service, and supporting staff to enable them to do their job well. I am also motivated by the opportunity to develop other staff and enable them to achieve their own goals.Having spent 30 years in various retail management positions, I have a very good understanding of what makes a successful retail business. I have worked as a large-scale Store Manager, and Operations Manager across multiple sites, and spent quite a few years in store development and project management, both relaying and improving existing stores, and setting up new stores. This time has largely been spent in large businesses with a national footprint.I would describe myself as a very capable general business and people manager, with a good understanding of business financials, and specialist skills in the retail sector.
