Analysis of cosmetic samples to European Pharmacopeia standards. Training of staff in accordance to standard operating procedures to include computerised log in of samples, aseptic technique, serial dilutions, reading of plates and conformation work. Maintaining throughput, quality and efficiency of work through to completion adhering to strict deadlines allowing product release. Carrying out media testing for the whole laboratory ensuring the media is suitable for use. Implemented a new sample deadline to improve release time.First Aid duties are performed solely by myself.

Microbiological surveys of food samples from numerous suppliers to major wholesale chains. Samples analysed within a UKAS accredited laboratory. Detection, enumeration and classification covering a wide range of micro-organisms. Preparation of microbiological media responding to the fluctuating needs of the whole laboratory.

Managed 8-10 staff. Responsible for rota planning, training/motivating and disciplining as necessary.Organisation of stock and negotiating with suppliers. Responsible for all marketing activity including contacting local papers and magazines regarding the bar. Subsequently listed on the best 100 summer pubs list (the Guardian and Observer). Managed 4 Mauritian students whilst carrying out a local artisanal fisherman study for a report. Daily budget allocation for the whole research group. Conducted lecture on the impact of climate change to United Parcel Service at company leadership trust weekend.
