Head Dealer, Dealing Desk Manager:Operating as manager and head dealer in a team of global multi-asset dealers for a UK wealth management firm. This is an intensive trading environment with ever growing funds under administration. My goals include, mitigating risk whilst improving operating leverage and capacity. Achieved largely through automation and electronic links, I often get heavily involved with the associated projects and technological support areas. Typically, most trading is generated by private client wealth managers across a network of over 100 offices. I actively trade most asset types associated with the retail sector, including listed securities on over 20 global exchanges. Investment Management Dealer:Heading up the dealing desk of this prestigious private bank, I was the focal point for customer trading in most investment types, securities and assets. I operated across a wide variety of markets for high to ultra-high net worth private clients, portfolio managers and the Bank itself. It was largely an autonomous desk that I developed following a decision to bring a dealing function in-house. My duties were such that I interacted closely with many divisions of the bank, particularly other investment areas who relied on my knowledge across a plethora of services including a white labelled cash fund. Several of my clients were high profile so I developed superior relationship management skills. Additionally I ran the foreign exchange book for the Investment Management area.

Investment Dealer/Treasury:My responsibility was to run the banks treasury and foreign exchange book in a management and dealing capacity. This was coupled with assets dealing for investment managers and clients alike. I would trade in many markets and security types, primarily this would be equities, fixed interest instruments and unit trusts. This included box positioning and dealing for a managed fund in both the underlying holdings and the units themselves. My knowledge of private banking and the various products and services such a business offers is extensive, emphasised by the fact that I was a signatory for the bank and Nominee company. I also had administrator rights across many of the most used computer systems. Experience here, led me to undertake all manner of banking and investment functions. These ranged from: supervision of cashiers and processors, to middle office functions, including; client reporting and corporate actions.I also had duties on various projects. This was an ongoing role specifically revolving around the integration and implementation of a securities and banking legacy system. To ensure success I became familiar with all sides of the project and managed several of the sub-projects. I also devised the test plans and produced all the resulting output generated for approval by end user management.
