As the Lead Director of the Environmental Resource Center, I oversee the student activist wing of the Environmental Studies Department, guiding both a vibrant student organization and an elective course. I am responsible for project management and strategic planning each semester, including developing the syllabus and course schedules that align with our environmental focus.I lead diverse student groups in semester-long research projects centered on specific environmental topics, fostering advocacy and outreach efforts that culminate in impactful events. Our initiatives partner with local organizations to educate, serve, and support the surrounding community around SJSU.Our largest events include the Sustainability Fair in October (Sustainability Month) and the annual Earth Day celebration, which the ERC has managed for over 50 years. Both events are large-scale initiatives focused on sustainability and the environment, providing a space for students to learn and connect on these important topics. My role encompasses project design, event planning, and collaboration with other organizations, ensuring our initiatives engage the campus community and promote sustainable practices. Through these efforts, I empower students to contribute meaningfully to environmental advocacy and research.

A General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall operations, guest experience, sales performance and execution of brand excellence in a store. The GM is responsible for maximizing the sales and profits of the store. The GM must maintain an exceptional level of guest service by developing strong store Team Members and Shift Managers.

An Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for the overall shift-level operations, guest experience, sales performance and execution of brand excellence in a store. They are also responsible for assisting in the growth of annual sales and profit of the store. In the absence of the General Manager (GM), the AGM effectively is the store leader. AGMs ensure that the store’s appearance as well as each team member’s performance is to company standard and are also responsible for consistently educating and engaging the community and store guests on all of Jamba’s products and services. An AGM with the GM make up the core management team for their store.

A Shift Lead is responsible for leading and managing shifts while acting as manager in charge of store. When leading a shift the will deploy team members as required to meet business demands and make necessary staffing decisions. Shift Leads ensure that the team members working the shift are effectively working with our guests to ensure their visit at Jamba meets all their needs.

Team Members are responsible for delivering Jamba’s BOOST Service Standards by being knowledgeable, efficient and providing an energizing guest experience. Additionally, Team Members should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of all Jamba product nutritionals and clearly communicate this information to both the guests and store team.

The role of a Kumon Instructor is to discover each student’s level of academic ability and continuously provide students with worksheets that are suitable to their respective ability levels. Instructors ensure that students always experience a sense of achievement in their daily study, which helps students enjoy studying and enables them to increase their ability independently. Through observing students’ learning situations, Instructors become keenly aware of how students are changing and improving, and search for things that will aid their future instruction.
