Review the risk, processes and controls related to Balance Sheet Substantiation. Investigated the reconciliations and processes used by the various departments to sign off the General Ledger balances on a monthly basis. Involved in-depth interviews with the departments to classify the accounts based upon usage, and then providing an opinion on the suitability of the processes. A final report was produced for each department to indicate any processes that were not in line with the Balance Sheet Substantiation Standards.
