To lead the Regional Geological Team to manage and maximise the performance and financial return of the company’s significant mineral assets both nationally and within the Regions for the Aggregates & Asphalt and Cement, Lime & Powders Business Units. To lead and deliver the land and mineral strategy in order to ensure Lafarge Tarmac’s licence to operate is maintained in the most profitable and sustainable manner and that the mineral reserves are managed to deliver short, medium and long term security and optimum financial return, whilst acting as Competent Person in the production and sign off of annual mineral Reserves and Resources reports in compliance with International Reporting Codes (eg. PERC, JORC). To develop, co-ordinate and apply geological, quarry design, mining engineering, geotechnical, hydrogeological and mineral quality policies, standards and best practice both nationally and within the regions in order to improve safety, business performance and ensure compliance with legislative requirements across a portfolio of c.90 sites.

Leading land and mineral strategies in order to ensure legislative compliance and that Tarmac’s licences to operate are maintained and that operations are managed to deliver short, medium and long term security and optimum financial return. To act as Competent Person in the production, compilation and sign off of annual mineral Reserves and Resources reports, both in compliance with International Reporting Codes (eg. PERC, JORC) but also compliant with differing local protocols and legislation. To develop, co-ordinate and apply geological, quarry design, mining engineering, geotechnical, hydrogeological and mineral quality policies, standards and best practice to improve safety and operational performance. To provide expert geological contribution to due dilligence exercises, both acquisition and divestment.
