Led a team of Economists, Data Scientists and Software Engineers responsible for automating compute capacity scaling and planning across Amazon’s consumer business. My team and my role was organizationally cross-cutting with our forecasts and predictions being used to make key infrastructure planning decisions across all of Amazon (AWS, Amazon.com, Amazon Video, and others).

Recruited to lead RightCrowd’s research and development department in a period of growth, I grew the team from five full time employees to over 20. I improved development practices and processes including the introduction of ALM tools, instituting code reviews and driving the adoption of new development practices such as IOC, Unit Testing, MVVM, MVC, and the use of ORMs. My role included product management that encompassed setting the roadmap for future development and the creation of functional specifications for new product features and functions. I was responsible for product support functions, product release schedules, and key infrastructure components. I introduced technology initiatives that led to increased sales and market opportunities and I drove business process improvements across the organization.

Was a member of the company's senior management team, responsible for the research and development efforts within Beacon. Included product support, product release schedules and the management of the research and development team. Included involvement in inter-company meetings with C-level executives and international travel. Continued hands-on role in technical side of software development.

Reported to the company's CTO, responsible for the architecture, design, and development of the company's flagship product, BIDS. This role also included the development of business and technical training courses, assistance in pre-sales situations, technical consulting and performance tuning .NET applications.

Initially employed on a casual basis for a short term project. After 2 months, transferred to a full-time role as an Analyst / Programmer. After a further 18 months, took on role of Senior Analyst / Programmer with a more active role in the design and specification of Technisoft's flagship product, Service Manager.
