Sole Charge Credit ManagerThe company is a French multinational which operates worldwide in the children clothing fashion business. We are the UK subsidiary and we have the license to sell various brands (Burberry, Timberland, Elle, Chloe, Hugo Boss) I am the credit manager entirely responsible for the running of the UK and Ireland sales ledger. As sole role credit manager my main functions are:• The assessment of appropriate payment terms during the opening of new accounts by assessing the credit risk • Sales ledger maintenance which consists of checking the bank statements and applying the payments on the customer accounts. • Dealing with debit notes which are sent to us by the department stores in relation to price queries, quantity variances, stock returns and proof of delivery. • Raising manual invoices and credit notes• Preparing seasonal payment plans agreements to be sent to the customers• Depositing cheques in the bank on a daily basis.• Blocking customer delinquent accounts and releasing the same accounts when payments are received. • Preparing the aged debt and the provision for bad debt on a monthly basis for the financial director• Reporting to our credit insurance (Coface and previously Euler) about all customers that are insolvent, and requesting the appropriate credit limits as well as the discretionary limits. • Preparing weekly reports to send to the sales team regarding problematic accounts• • Sending statements of account on a monthly basis as well as the reminder letters.• Collecting cash by chasing customers on a regular basis by phone and by email• Building good relationships with the customers, sales department and customer service department.• Minimizing bad debt as much as possible but in case it is unavoidable arrange for the bad debt to be written off.• Dealing with all legal proceedings of the company from the letter before action all the way to the enforcement of judgment•

• Clear backlog of old invoices• Investigate on billing queries and report on excel spreadsheet• Provide documentation on customer deductions from outstanding invoices• Investigate reasons for non payment and provide full explanation• Check if the customer claims are valid and eventually raise credit notes• Chasing customer by email and by phone in order to obtain payment of outstanding invoices

• Create monthly invoices using a web based billing system, for complex service program, involving multicurrency amounts • Deal with approximately 150 accounts which include Italian, Spanish, English and American• Validate the monthly flights and invoice one month in arrears.• Raise monthly invoices which consist of management fees, lease fees, charter fees and flight charges • Ensure all group revenue is billed to customers accurately and on a timely basis• Work to eliminate any customer complaints• Provide exceptional customer service in dealing with all billing enquiries• Provide management with accrual figures in relation to charges that although forecasted will not be billed in the current month• Provide timely reports and statements on billing for inclusion in the management report• Help perform monthly AR balance reconciliations• Provide the sales team with analysis on flight usage

As billing analyst:• Ensure monthly billing is carried out in a timely manner• Import monthly bookings for UK, France, Spain and Benelux customers and make sure all errors are fixed. The bookings will be used by each country in order to bill their customers• Create monthly billing runs on productivity system, eliminate all errors and then interface into oracle• Check billing system and make sure that customers are billed for the correct equipment • from their ticketing segment data• Process automated billing and incentive invoice runs to the Oracle Financials system in accordance with the billing timetable• Ensure that all revenue postings are booked from the Accounts receivable ledger to the general ledger• Prepare sales ledger reconciliations for UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain and Portugal• Validation of interfaces between systems to ensure completeness• File all monthly billing documentation• Produce support VAT documentation as required by the VAT manager• Worked on various Oracle projects which includes testing new direct debit system and new invoicing process for Rail customersAs credit controller:• Supervise the UK ledger dealing with approximately 400 live accounts• In charge of collection of money through direct debit monthly run on oracle• Check bank statements and post cash against the various accounts• Print statements of account and send them to the customers• Print dunning letters and send them to the customers (4 levels)• Main tools used: oracle, excel and word
