I am an experienced educator with a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education, a BA (Hons) in Illustration, and almost twenty years of further and higher education teaching, course management, and senior tutoring. I am interested in nurturing creativity and exploring new digital technologies whilst developing the visual communication skills and employability of learners.I have managed HND Graphic Design, Extended Diploma Games Design, and A-Level Graphic Design courses and have taught in a range of learning programs including BA (Hons) Illustration, HND Illustration, Pre Degree Foundation Art & Design, and Level 2 Creative Media. I also have experience in teaching mature students evening courses in Life Drawing and Digital Illustration.Before becoming a full-time educator, I worked as a freelance Illustrator producing editorial illustrations, multimedia artwork for graphic novels, children's book illustrations, and storyboards for short films. I seek self-development opportunities regularly and have completed short courses in a range of topics including Games Engines, Photogrammetry, Pixel Art, Character Design, Information Design, Advertising, and Screen Printing.
