Head of channel sales function at Centrality, responsible for revenue growth through a single key strategic partnership

My current role sees me undertake consultative solution selling of Centrality’s Microsoft services, across direct and indirect channels. I act as a go to presales specialist for new business opportunities and sales teams across our indirect channel. My job is to understand business challenges and requirements identifying where Centrality services and solutions fit and propose a solution and/or service. When needed I bring additional technical pre-sales resource into the conversations, be they internal or 3rd party. Once a proposition is tabled I own the sales deal through to completion, before handing over to relevant delivery teams.My role also sees me run regular training sessions to the sales teams in our indirect channel, host webinars and customer workshops. These sessions focus on Centrality’s services and the Microsoft cloud.

As Business Development manager it was my responsibility to own new business leads and opportunities, Once qualified I worked with our senior management team and the prospective customer to understand the requirement and manage the pre-sales process through to it being won. Once landed, work is handed over to our delivery teams. As well as managing new business I also maintained relationships with key stakeholders within our existing client base to understand their longer-term requirements with a view to identifying further revenue opportunities.As a BDM I also worked closely on nurturing the day to day relationship with Microsoft acting as a primary point of contact for sales opportunities that come through the channel from Microsoft.

A departmental re-structure in 2016, saw the sales, account management and project management teams at Centrality merge together into one overall department. I was aligned to a handful of key accounts and responsible for managing and overseeing all change and project activity for my allocated accounts. On top of that I was responsible for nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to understand the longer-term strategic business needs and requirements. As well as this I acted as a point of escalation for those stakeholders for major service-related incidents.
