Mount Allison is a community flourishing with opportunity for engagement. While there I tried to make the most of time by getting involved in as many areas of student life as possible. For example I began writing for The Argosy, an independent student newspaper for which I was offered at Staff Writer position at the end of my first year. I was engaged in campus politics and was elected in my first year as Thornton House's Treasurer. In my second year I founded the Outdoor Activities Club which helped students experience outdoor activities in the surrounding areas of Sackville and Atlantic Canada. In my third year I continued my involvement by mentoring prospective Mount Allison students through the Opportunity Scholarship Program. I was also elected as the President of the Political Science Society and helped found the Latin Dancing Society. In my final year I spearheaded a fundraising campaign for a fallen alumnus who was very dear to me. Among other scholastic achievements, my time at Mount Allison was can be summarized as an intense community integration exercise. I made literally hundreds of friends and networked extensively with community businesses and organizations, such as the Sackville Rod and Gun Club as well as entrepreneur Dave Hunter.
