• 10 Direct and Indirect Staff Reports (People performance and delivery management)• Program and Project Delivery Operational and Capital Projects• Technical Expert – Maintenance/Assets best fit solutions in tight timeframes• Operational Planning for $110 mil budget, Zero Based BudgetingMaintenance Services, a department working under the Infrastructure Services Division of Council, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of an extensive list of asset types including but not limited to Transport, Storm Water, Coastal and Open Spaces. The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for a broad and extensive range of activities, and is a key link in ensuring assets are managed effectively to provide the most cost effective Level of Service (LOS) to meet council and external stakeholder requirements.

As the Maintenance/Asset Engineer for the State Controlled Roads within the Townsville Region, I am responsible for ensuring the safety and serviceability of the road network to the public. Maintaining +1600km of road network, from mowing the grass verges, new sign installations, to road repairs with limited budgets and emergency management, this role has been my most challenging and rewarding role yet. While the role is generally filled with a Senior Civil Engineer a resourcing shortage has left me this fantastic opportunity and experience to further my career.
