Temporary secondment to cover Erith Operating Region (Jan-Oct 2023).EOR covers CFC4 Erith, GMDC2 Erith & spoke sites at Brooklands, Crawley, Enfield, Merton, West Drayton & Wimbledon.Delivering circa 140,000 customer orders weekly, for two retailers. CFC4 Erith employs circa 1,000 Personal Shoppers (warehouse operatives) and is supported by 200 agency colleagues. With orders delivered across the region by over 2,100 CSTMs (delivery drivers).During the secondment period productivity improved from 202 to 215, while delivering stable service and hitting all key KPIs.

Responsible for the Operations workstream for the build and launch of Ocado’s new CFC in Purfleet, Essex. Filled with cutting edge technology, CFC5 will ultimately process 83,500 orders per week (3.9M eaches). Responsible for the recruitment and leadership of a team of 43 operational managers, supported by an extensive team of supervisors. All committed to delivering outstanding products and service to Ocado's ever expanding customer base. Achieved go-live for outbound customer orders on the 02.09.2021, ramping to circa 25% capacity within the first 7 weeks (21.2K OPW, 955K eaches), with 99.29% on-time ex CFC for the same period.We are in it together. I had the opportunity to join Ocado in January 2020, as one of two Senior Operations Managers, based at the Erith CFC. Responsible for the 24-7 operation of the Ocado Smart Platform and the continued ramp of the site. Erith is the largest OSP CFC in the Ocado network at over 500K square feet. Leading a team of 44 operational managers, supported by over 40 supervisors. Over a 14 month period managed site growth from 70K OPW (3.1M eaches) to over 120K OPW (7.0M eaches), with Personal Shopper headcount growth up to 1,320 direct Ocado employees.

A network role focused on warehouse performance for four foods RDCs at Barnsley, Enfield, Hemel Hempstead and Thatcham. Supporting each site in the delivery of cost & service KPIs within the M&S contract.

Responsibility for Gist’s primary operation in the South East. The role has accountability for the operation, customer base, service levels and profitability of the network primary trunking activity in the secondary depot locations at Hemel Hempstead, Enfield, Faversham and Thatcham. In addition the role has responsibility for the Muller milk pick operation for M&S within the Maylands site in Hemel Hempstead. Financial accountability for revenues of circa £17M pa.

January 2017 – May 2017Contract Manager for the Debenhams operation in Hemel Hempstead (secondment).Supported the Debenhams operation three months after go-live to resolve operational issues, assist with the set-up of new processes, resolve the backlog of product in query, build the relationship with the customer and improve the profitability of the account. November 2016 – January 2017Site Manager for the M&S Christmas food to order operation in Portbury. Managed the peak operation for M&S consolidated customer orders in the south. Responsibilities included securing labour resource from existing employees and local agency, site set-up and operational readiness, detailed layout & labour planning, operational execution and site extraction post operation.June 2016 – November 2016Project manager for the reshaping of Gist’s Starbucks operation in the UK.Project scope included the relocation of the chill operation into Gist’s main Hemel estate, closing the existing site in Hemel Boundary Way and opening a new 160K sq. ft. multi temperature depot in Coventry. September 2015 – June 2016Project Manager for the opening of Gist’s 8th M&S Foods RDC in Enfield.Management of the project from the conversion of the site from a disused GM facility through to successful opening as a multi temperature foods depot. Enfield is the largest site in the Gist’s M&S network with 138K sq. ft. chill space & 80K sq. ft. ambient, handling circa 16% of the overall network volume. May 2013 – September 2015A central role reporting to the Development Director and based between M&S head office in Waterside and Gist head office in Chineham. Working collaboratively with the customer to identify and deliver sustainable savings and quality service.

A cross functional role responsible for the development of the site via improvements in warehouse & transport, project managing new initiatives and operational change. Deputising for General Manager. Duties also include preparing the site budgets for warehouse and transport and preparation for peak periods. Key achievements:- Olympic preparation & execution – achieving LOCOG VCP accreditation, project management of infrastructure, operational, people change - Creation of a secondary operation for M&S’ European expansion – including securing HMRC bonded status for ambient warehouse- Introduction of vehicle level manifest (tray level tracking supplier to store) - Leading Involve culture change on site
