Highly experienced Human Resources Director with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry, the charitable sector, the public sector and the private sector. Skilled in Employment Law, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training Delivery, Coaching, Performance Management, and Staff Development. Simon obtained a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Hertfordshire in 1998. He has worked in HR since 1996 working in the private sector (car and IT industries), the charitable sector and the educations sector. Simon joined Broadway in 2002 where he was a HR Manager and jointly created a successful HR Consultancy (Real People), winner of best HR Strategy in 2007 Personnel Today awards and then moved to Capel Manor College in 2007 then BMAT in 2018, then joined East Herts in 2019, starting working as independent senior consultant firstly at BDC in 2023 and currently working on consulting basis at Zapp since 2024. Simon is a Member of the CIPD (Chartered MCIPD) and certified in Psychometric Testing (Levels A & B). He is also qualified as a Specialist Employment Law Paralegal (University of Strathclyde). As well Managing HR and fulfilling Senior Leadership duties (including Lead for Safeguarding) he has delivered highly effective Management Training and Development both internally and externally since 2003. Simon is also a Licensed FA Football coach working on voluntary basis with young kids at grassroots level.
