My name is Simon Olson and I am a recent graduate Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a specialization in Finance. In the past few years I have had a wide variety of jobs from a dishwasher, to a delivery driver, a shift lead, an intern at a personal injury law firm, and this past summer a retail banking intern at Key Bank. My work experiences in the service industry have given me the skills needed to work in a fast paced environment while also developing strong communication skills. My legal internship has allowed me to grow more in my digital communication, through the drafting of complaints, medical reviews, and interrogatories. My work as a shift lead for Snag Delivery has also allowed me to develop my leadership skills managing and assigning orders to drivers during the shift. Through my internship with Key Bank I strongly improved my time management skills through balancing the teller line, customer transitions, and collaborating with other interns on our capstone project. I am interested in finding a full-time job in the business world, and more specifically finance as I think it ties my previous job experience as well as my school courses together nicely. Underwriting is also something interesting to me as it gives a lot of independence as well as decision making ability. I have really enjoyed finance courses in school and am excited to continue learning about it. In my free time I like to go fishing, snowboarding in the winter, working out at the gym and going to watch any kind of Cleveland sports teams.
