Manage a group of CIP Construction Inspectors for the city of Austin. We provide QC and on site project management for Capital Improvement Projects all over the city including AUS International Airport. Manage the inspection of projects and monitor workload of inspectors to ensure they are on the job during critical construction activities and no significant errors occur in complying with the contract documents.Ensure that inspectors are knowledgeable of the contract documents and provide time for inspectors to review the documents. Ensure that inspectors are knowledgeable of CIP Inspection Division procedures.Attend all pre-construction conferences and all walk through meetings.Visit job sites regularly to observe quality of services. Document and follow-up on findingsEvaluate and develop appropriate response measures to the results of the annual customer satisfaction survey.Proactively work to minimize overtime without negatively impacting projects. Manage overtime hours in order to minimize inequity among employees.Ensure that inspectors process change order, pay estimates, and other documents in accordance with the contract and CSD policies and procedures.Assist inspectors in obtaining documents required for final payment. Ensure that project documentation including Daily Reports; Quantity Books, etc. are correct, complete, and up to date. Review and sign off on all Daily Reports in accordance with procedures.Ensure that actions taken against contractors such as Unacceptable Work Letters, Stop Work Letters, and Retraction Letters are properly executed and distributed to concerned parties.Ensure inspectors report in writing any contractual noncompliance. Ensure inspectors are working proactively to closeout projects in a timely manner.Take disciplinary and/or performance related corrective action as needed with employees.

ACA is poised for growth and innovation, inspired by the community-led CreateAustin Plan which forged a pathway for invigorating Austin’s "culture of creativity" and recommended establishing ACA as a top priority. ACA has already expanded its core services to better assist individuals and organizations in the creative sector, revamped its board, revised its internal policies and procedures, and hired a dynamic interim Executive Director to lead our next phase of development.
