Simon is a business professional with c. 30 years experience of assisting companies with organic and acquisition based growth across a number of sectors. Starting his career in business development within the IT sector in the late 80's, Simon gained his initial experience building divisions within key IT sector players of their day, CMS, Wang, Olivetti. Simon quickly progressed from managing teams of Sales and Technical Consultants to overall business management, strategic planning, financial management and change management. Simon's leadership experience has seen him running businesses from £2m-£25m in size, leading teams of up to 35 people and providing both operational and strategic input through varied markets and economies.In the early 90's Simon started Globe Microsystems Ltd (GMS), an IT company that was a solutions led consultancy supplying unique tailored solutions across a variety of business and governmental sectors. GMS specialised in providing mission critical supply, planning and implementation consultancy to overseas operations in disaster zones, humanitarian crisis zones and the UN emergency response teams. In 2003, Simon's sold his holding in GMS to allow him more time to concentrate on his property and business investment activity. Having led start ups, SME's and divisions of PLCs, Simon is now CEO of Esher Homes Ltd, the parent company of the bespoke high end property development company Carrington Fox, MD of Cerca (UK) Ltd a commercial and residential estate investment company and director of Vivere Homes Ltd, a startup residential development company focusing on multi-use volume schemes.Simon also has diversified investments in other areas of commerce including Banking, Financial Services and Recruitment.Simon's input into his investments varies from basic funding through to assistance in strategy planning, board support and direction to the leadership teams. The most recent addition to Simon's business interests is an investment role at a specialist recruitment and talent search agency. What Simon knows about recruitment can be easily shared in a minute or two, but he is learning and in the meantime adds value at a board level, in strategy, tactics, finance and business matters as and when required.
