With no experience in the restaurant business, I first got the opportunity to prove myself at the bottom of the hierarchy as a breakfast/lunch host. Shortly after I became the evening food runner supporting the head waiter, waiters, bartenders, and chefs. I ended my employment as a waiter, mainly in charge of various conferences and weddings. In the hotel business, there is always something that needs to be done and I enjoy varying work and taking on new challenges. So I became the go-to guy at the hotel jumping in as a receptionist, janitor and helping hotel guest with whatever they needed.I took with me everything I learned from my time at Strandbaden, especially customer relations and sales.

A little better every day, that's the Gekås motto which I took with me after my employment. I enjoyed the combination of physically hard work with a lot of social interaction. Managed everything that's expected from a floor worker at Scandinavia's largest department store from guiding a lost customer to unpacking wares as fast and effective as possible.
