About Simon Philip Mcdonald

I founded Watch and Talk Method to provide a more engaging and enjoyable way for I.T. professionals to develop their communication skills. The Watch and Talk Zoom-based classes (1-on-1 and small groups) take advantage of videos from quality sources such as "TED Talks", "The Economist" and “The New York Times” to name only a few. The videos play two key roles. Firstly, they help develop students’ listening skills and enrich their vocabulary. Secondly (and where the magic happens!), the videos provide a focus for students to express their own thoughts, ideas and opinions and get valuable speaking practice to boost their confidence.
