Working together with the Strategic Sourcing Manager, my task was to utilize my technical skills,together with my purchasing and negotiation experience to drive “cost down” initiatives on materialsand sub-contract component purchases used in the “in-house’ manufacture of automotivecomponents. Additional responsibilities implied with this role, was the management of, and thenegotiation with, international suppliers of raw materials and finished components on issues such aspricing, delivery, lead-times and all quality concerns.
