About Simon Pickering

Simon founded Dot to Dot Training  Consulting in 2015.  He is passionate about the unique role community organisations hold in creating positive outcomes and social change. Simon has over 15 years of VCSE and Public sector experience. His career began working with disadvantaged young people in inner London delivering one to one music mentoring. More recently Simon has worked for BBC Children in Need and commissioned services for young people for two local authorities. While in the commissioning role Simon founded a number of notable local projects. Simon has an imaginative and creative approach to all commissions, achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsible for developing a fundraising, marketing and communications plan that has significantly increased the organisation’s fundraising income. The footfall on the site is currently 200 young people per day.• Responsible for working with up to 20 Councillors to enabling them to become effective and engaged Community Leaders, the role involves managing Councillor’s Locality Grants Programme.• Working in a more deprived areas to improve health and community outcomes.
