My primary responsibility was the management of up to 12 Engineers and Technicians, maintenance and repair of Remotely Operated Vehicles and their associated Launch and Recovery System worth over £1.5 million, implementation and monitoring of technical procedures and reporting, work management and execution. • Supervising and training offshore personnel as ROV Pilots, Technicians and Engineers as part of the Company Competence Scheme. • Day to day management of Company resources operating on work site.• Acting as the senior Company representative maintaining communications with the client, vessel management and onshore management.• Ensuring that the ROV and all its systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical and legal requirements. • Execution of the subsea operation and ensuring its timely completion in accordance with the relevant proposal and contract while remaining within the constraints of company and client’s safety / operational procedures for personnel and equipment.• Preparation of reports, assessment of work scopes to meet client requirements, as well as writing end of project reports to be sent onshore.• Supervision of the launch and recovery operations in the normal range of sea states, assessment of weather conditions and operating parameters for safe operations. • Performing electrical terminations on a full range of tether / umbilical structures, testing, maintenance and operation of the telemetry, hydraulic, video, sonar and other data gathering sensor systems.
