I have over 30 years’ experience in transport logistics and specifically Bulk petroleum tankers. I am a trade qualified diesel mechanic and I also have two university diplomas in road transport and transport economics. I hold a SAP consultancy certificate for Plant maintenance module and have successfully worked on two SAP implementation projects in development and end user training.My current role of National account manager, has seen me introducing a new division in petroleum tanker equipment and technology within John Bean Technologies Australia, a challenging and rewarding role that is growing on a daily basis. For over 20 years, I worked for a major petroleum corporation where my position of National maintenance manager, which saw me holding full responsibility for the entire management of the transport assets, employees, workshop infrastructure and all associated budgets. I also had full accountability for the National HSE structure within maintenance department and I was the business process owner for the SAP Plant maintenance module.I have a passion for technology and the use of this to improve on asset efficiencies, from preventative maintenance to predictive asset life-cycle; I really make use of the tools available to continuously improve on asset performance and safety. My passion and experience in maintenance was further enhanced when I was tasked with implementing SAP plant maintenance module. I quickly became the expert in SAP PM Module and advanced experience all other associated modules. As a senior people manager, I see myself as having a responsibility not just to shareholders but also to the safety of employees throughout the organisation. The implementation of effective occupational health and safety policies and procedures within the transport group has been a core responsibility and I take pride in knowing that I have successfully contributed to the well-being of employees in the workplace.
