I teach mostly Introductory and Systems courses including both semesters of Introduction to Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Distributed and Parallel Computing.My research focuses on Formal Verification for Hardware/Software Co-Design.

I taught a wide variety of courses. My colleague and I overhauled the curriculum. We also created a vibrant and expanding Computer Science major from one in serious decline. This against a background of nationally falling enrollments.

I taught a wide variety of courses at both an undergraduate and graduate level. I oversaw the Systems Administration of the department's Unix servers.

I provided consulting services for the formal verification of VLSI designs.

I evangelised the BDD based formal verification product -- VFormal/VHDL. This involved both advanced technical support, build management and sales support including giving customer presentations.At the time of the acquisition by Avant!, I was working on the development of a VFormal/Verilog product based on the VHDL product.

I worked on the transfer of modular exponentiation hardware design and formal verification from UMIST. The project developed a very low-cost RSA encryption integrated circuit for use in EFTPOS and smart card applications.
