I have been working in electronics for over 20yrs now. I started on an assembly line populating pcbs and over the years worked my way up to production engineer.I have spent most of my time working in surface mount on an array of machines and reworking all types of smt components.I have learnt to programme the smt machines as well as automatic optical inspection machines. In the past I have held supervisory roles in smt and also been a process engineer for Smt in a previous spell at West Control Solutions.I have held the position of production engineer at Chemigraphic and also Sts Defence. As a production engineer I was introduced to a wider array of manufacturing skills such as box build, wiring, selective soldering, and conformal coating whilst also learning more administrative tasks suck as bom checking, estimations, writing drawing packs and work procedures.
