Worked very closely with all aspects of the business actively implementing design, manufacturing and operational improvements. Our mixing, drying and reacting equipment was custom made for a wide range of industries from food and pharmaceutical, nuclear, iron ore, etc. Strict guidelines such as USDA, FDA, ANSI and ASME were required to be qualified and documented on a per-project basis. Worked directly with laboratory, sales, manufacturing and procurement to ensure customer needs were met, required procedures were implemented, required material and procedures were documented and delivery times were met.Implemented several Lean Practices throughout organization. These practices and principles included but were not limited to Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, JIT and work place design and layout. Trained and certified through KMAC (Kentucky Manufacturing Assistance Center) and Gateway College. Implemented through cross-functional team leadership with great success.Managed the Research and Design Department. Several projects were proposed, prototyped and implemented with several tremendous successes. These successes included reduced process times, increased quality, part standardization and interchangeability.
