I support the Global Broadcast System Integration and Support contract for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Ft. Meade. This involves providing engineering support for the Digital Video Broadcast-Return Channel via Satellite system employed by the US Central Command (CENTCOM). This system is a full motion video intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance dissemination and backhaul system. In addition I provide Tier III support for ongoing trouble issues and am the Task Lead responsible for all training products produced across all of the tasks on the contract.

Stuttgart Area, Germany

Contractor for DISA Europe. Managing the US DoD's Global Information Grid. Serves as technical specialist responsible for the monitoring, operating and managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any of the components comprising the DISN or DRSN networks. These include data/voice communications equipment, multiplexers (such as modems, circuit switching units, data switching units, secure telephone switches and PBX’s), data terminal equipment, and transmission media (coaxial and twisted pair cables, satellite, microwave, and fiber optics both vendor-provided and government owned).

•Allocate Teleport assets for circuit activation and testing of secure Internet and voice services over satellite resources.•Oversee, direct, and monitor team of 35 personnel involved in installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of network systems, including data, audio, and video transmissions on a global scale; ensuring proper mission operations.•Serve as a liaison between Teleport site and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)•Plan all required authorized service interruptions (ASI) for 15 satellite and broadband systems at the USAF only Teleport•Brief General Officers and SES on status of Teleport/STEP operations / capabilities.

•Operated, maintained, and repaired MILSTAR Command Post, AN/GSC-52, AN/USC-38, RT-1828, iDirect, DFCS and CDS/SMU satellite and baseband systems•Provided voice, video, and data services to deployed customers in support of EUCOM and STRATCOM Commanders, the Missile Defense Agency, and Intelligence community.•Enlisted site lead for first ever Air Force iDirect IP satellite modem test.•Client Support Administrator and Information Assurance Officer for over 500 users.•Developed modem characterization procedure used by 4 DoD STEP sites worldwide
