My work experience extends from academia to industry, where an important part of the work has involved interdisciplinary collaborations. During my time in academia, I did my research on organic- dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells. My research led to a PhD in charge transport and recombination in organic semiconductor materials. During this time I collaborated both with domestic and international partners. where communication between different disciplines and cultures is of great importance to have an efficient collaboration.I am currently employed at Mirka Ltd. in the R&D department, where the main focus is on developing new abrasive products and technologies that can be utilized in the field to enhance the performance of our products and/or improve the customer experience when using abrasive products. My main tasks involves developing grain technologies to better process grains in abrasive products and use manufacturing technologies to fabricate new abrasive grains or structures. Keeping pace with the current IPR within the field is also of importance to enable creation of new IPR within the field. Presently I also work on improving the circularity of abrasive products as a part of the Business Finland founded SHAPE project.
