Simon is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, having qualified in Guernsey, where he was also born and educated. He has spent his career in Guernsey since leaving practice in 1995 and has focussed on fiduciary services since 1997, whilst gaining experience in the funds and captive insurance sectors as well. Simon is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, having completed the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management in 2004. Simon joined Orbitus (Jupiter) as a Director in 2016. He served as a committee member of the Guernsey Branch of STEP until 2019, having acted as treasurer from 2010 until 2015 and again from 2018-2019.Simon is a fiduciary and funds specialist, with experience in complex corporate and trust structures for international clients, as well as closed ended fund structures primarily in property and private equity.When out of the office, he enjoys sport, primarily golf, swimming and (in fair weather) cycling and retains a keen interest in local hockey, although his playing days are now behind him! He also enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, his daughter Emily and his dog and watching the changing fortunes of the Welsh rugby team!
