About Simon Scherrer
I am a Lead Network Engineer at NetFabric, a deep-tech start-up founded by ETH Zurich researchers and serial entrepreneurs. NetFabric's mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in network monitoring by leveraging arbitrary forms of network data and correlating the extracted information, allowing properly contextualized network insights that speed up the recovery from network issues.Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher with the Network Security Group at ETH Zurich, where I also concluded my doctoral studies. The focus of my research was on modelling strategic behavior in communication networks, including congestion control, path selection, and ISP competition.
