Simon Scotting has worked in the industry for 20 years. Based in Somerset, he spent several years as a practising tree surgeon, before becoming both an approved Lantra Awards freelance instructor for ground based and aerial chainsaw operations and an approved instructor and assessor for City & Guilds NPTC ground based and aerial chainsaw operations.Simon delivers training in both the Basic and Professional Tree Survey and Inspection courses for both independent training providers and the Arboricultural Association, has worked in collaboration with the Fire Service providing instruction in the operation and maintenance of the specialist rescue chainsaws in the Urban Search and Rescue Environment to USAR teams in England and Wales. He is also able to offer a range of arboricultural consultancy services, including tree surveys and inspections and tree safety policies.
