•Validation of SSD controller focusing on SAS and PCIe/NVMe blocks.Created test code framework as teamwork based on production FW. Defined and developed functional tests in C and Lecroy trainer/verification scripts for validation of host blocks like as SAS, PCIe/NVMe and SATA on both FPGA and ASIC platforms. Worked on validation of the SAS protocol compliance from Granite River Lab (GRL), SAS/PCIe/NVMe conformance from Oakgate Tech, and DPP (Data Protection Plan). Determined root cause and created controller code fixes from failed test results during Production Validation Engineering (PVE) Test. Resolved interoperability problems with a major customer platform.

•Board Design: Developed a controller board with Intel Atom processor module and 24 ports 1G Ethernet switch board for tape backup libraries. Designed various 6G SAS expander and NXP’s ARM processor boards for disk backup library system.•FPGA Design: Incorporated UART, CAN, PCI, LPC, and SRAM controllers in a Lattice FPGA.•Firmware: Built, configured, and checked out basic functions of WinCE 6.0 for tape backup libraries and wrote firmware to make circuit boards with ARM/MIPS processors and LCD display functional.

•Processor and Chipsets Validation: Validation and debug of the LX processor, Video Input/Output Port of the LX processor, K8 low power processor and chipset. Developed post-silicon verification tests using C and x86 assembler code to target design. Debugged many issues in all areas of the system including platform (board), silicon (HW), BIOS (FW), drivers (SW), and operating systems. Performed signal integrity with spice models for IO pads.•FPGA Design: Developed FPGA boards using Xilinx devices for processor and chipset validation, and PowerPC-based embedded system with Virtex-4 device for a web application. Wrote a Linux test device driver for the FPGA board. •Bring-up Board Design: Designed motherboards to validate processors in low power environments. This included negotiating features with other internal organizations, writing specifications, drawing schematics, working with PCB layout engineers, debug and verification of proper operation and adherence to specifications.
