CurrentThe Hydrogen Collective is a market motivator in the development of local green hydrogen (H2) economies across Australia & New Zealand. Our goal is to inform businesses, governments, and regions on how they can make, use, and integrate renewable energy into their existing energy profile with a focus on green hydrogen. When you produce and use renewable energy in the same community you see economic, environmental and operational benefits within the local economy. This reduces the reliance on national energy networks and the volatility of cost and supply that it brings. Giving locals more control over their energy supply brings challenges but also great benefits. Our collaborative approach model's energy production and consumption needs for a particular area or regional community in order to develop appropriate supply and demand capabilities for locally generated H2 and other renewables. Our local assessment reports identify the potential to make and use renewable energy and the impact that may have on the local area. Wastewater treatment plants are an initial focus to co-locate green H2 production while engaging with locals to assess the most 'H2 Ready' assets and businesses that can utilise this 100% emission-free resource.H2C fund, design and construct pilot projects that act as catalysts to developing local supply chains and bring long term benefits to regional, remote and urban businesses and communities.
