My remit at BBC was to inspire and engage a diverse audience about the power of employment at BBC. Developing and managing bespoke road shows across the UK to ensure we hade the most inclusive, all encompassing approach to our hiring strategy, from gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age and class - we worked tirelessly to attract and retain a melting pot of excellence.- Winner of "Best Diversity Initiative" at the Creative Diversity Network awards for BBC Vision Intake Pool- Finalist "National Graduate Recruitment Awards" - "Best Use of Social Media" for @bbctrainees- Head hunted into the department to launch the BBC Production Talent Pool – www.bbc.co.uk/ptp providing over 125 paid entry level positions across BBC Radio and Television across the UK- Developed and run the BBC Production Trainee Scheme 2012, 18 month fast tracked placements for 11 people to train to be Assistant Producers, www.bbc.co.uk/pts- Run BBC Get In - networking and outreach programme for those breaking into the media with the aim to ensure diversity and inclusivity in the BBC Staff base - Run Production Management Trainee Scheme and BBC Production Apprentices- Regularly organise outreach events such as BBC Finalists and speak at Universities and events across the UK to talk about working in the BBC and “How to get a job in the Media”- Responsible for the social media campaign around the Production Talent Pool and the @bbctrainees twitter feed.- Writer for www.bbc.co.uk/collegeofproduction - most viewed articles on CV writing, Interviews, Social Media and Networking

•Responsible for Sourcing, hiring, and placing over 300 leading Internet, web design, and interactive television professionals on permanent, short term and freelance contracts, to ensure the BBC is at the pinnacle of Online excellence. •Managed a departmental restructure to achieve 40% staff reduction in the department (120 jobs), this included, drafting and developing new roles for the new structure, developing interviews and selection process for new roles, as well as devising a counseling and redeployment service for those opting to take voluntary redundancy and for those made redundant through the selection process.•Headed up a skills audit of all staff to gain a clear picture of Talent across the department, this was also essential to developing training needs for staff and looking at gaps in terms of Talent.•Responsible for talent management of key staff in terms of development, training and looking at the Business for the future.•Spearheaded, developed and headed up Fair Access to Work Scheme “Vision Intake Pool” www.bbc.co.uk/jobs/vip - applications for this scheme are now in excess of 7,000 per year with approximately 60 placements per year across 4 different locations, London, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham.•Vision Intake Pool has provided over 155 paid positions across 6 television studios over a 3 year period. This is now in its 3rd successful year. •Vision Intake Pool has increased diversity significantly across all studios. 41% of placements are from candidates from a BME background and 12% of placements from those who declare themselves as disabled. We were quoted in a government White Paper as an example of “best practice”. •Managed a team of 20 people when co-ordinating Vision Intake Pool as well as sourcing and managing assessors and interviewers across all 4 locations.•Implemented and designed an integration training program for all 200 employees across all 8 job categories

•Responsible for headhunting and building strong working relationships with over 300 highly skilled TV professionals from Series producers to researchers•Worked closely with other TV production companies to share the best talent, thus building TV professionals for the Industry•Proactively managing 75+ researchers, from initial hire, managing their development, fast turnaround placements on programs, managing promotions and finding specialists in a range of subjects as diverse as Chinese History to Sexual Health.•Directly managed and developed team of 3 staff, coached and promoted 2 staff to Talent Management level.•Managed a 20% cut in headcount across the department, 120 staff.•Developed and managed performance review and promotion process for 75 research staff on an annual basis
